Everyone is always super enthusiastic about the specifications of HD CCTV (Be it IP based, Analogue based or HD-SDI), but spec sheets can be a little bit overwhelming to most people. What is important is what HD CCTV will do for THEM?
In a nutshell, HD CCTV images will allow for the identification of individuals, resulting in greater piece of mind for the CCTV users as the ability to identify an individual will, in the case of a crime, greatly increase the chances of an arrest and conviction.
To demonstrate this, yours truly dressed in his ‘Sunday best’ (along with his best beanie hat that his wife bans him from wearing as it scares the neighbours!), and looked suitably shifty whilst a member of staff grabbed some frames in SD and HD for comparison.

I’m not going to insult you by pointing out which is which, but suffice to say I know which one I would want to rely on to identify a ‘dodgy character’!
